Back in August we headed to my parents cabin in Bearlake..this time with our good friends the Pillings and Dilles. We had a great time..Hung at the beach, did some boating and relaxed at the cabin..We also got to enjoy some very yummy chocolate covered raspberrys from the bearpaw..love them to death! For the 4th this year we stayed at home..Creighton our nephew was getting baptized so we enjoyed the holiday with family and some friends at home. Holly and Brian had us all over for fireworks and a barbecue..which also included there neighborhood..It was fun to just relax and hang with everyone. The kids loved the fireworks..I think all the men had gone in together and got some "really good" fireworks..lots of fun! Marshall and Hunter..helping with the fireworks

Back in June Braeden was invited to go with a couple friends to a leadership training camp..for scouts. It went for a week..a long week for him! They enjoyed most of it..what they didn't enjoy was cooking for themselves..mostly burnt and the rain. They did have a couple good days where it was sunshine and a party. We went up for the closing ceremonys..which was fun to see. It was a beautiful place right by the tetons. Braed was dirty and ready to head home...I'm glad he had the opportunity to experience a week without his mom taking care of him..he must appreciate now, right?

Yep..We went to the Jonas Brothers..Abbeys good friend invited us to go with them to Boise and see them. It was very fun..a girls night.- Dinner, fun concert, staying over in a hotel and swimming before bed made it a busy day for the girls but they had a blast! On June 17th Braed turned the big 12..I honestly can't believe fast time flys by..It sure feels its going way to fast. Braeden is the best..We love him so much and appreciate his cute personality..he adds so much to our family! He actually missed his birthday cake..he left for camp on his birthday and was gone for a week so we had to celebrate again when he got home..Love you Braed!

We celebrated Braeds bday while we were down there..

Yes..it has been way to long since I have updated my blog..I think to start off I will try to finish our trip to California..and I will make it quick! We did finally make it to Kelly's parents house..it was very fun and relaxing. They have a homemade lake right in the backyard..the kids loved it. While we were there we took a few days to shop and to venture down to the aquarium that was so interesting and fun for the kids..while we were down that way we also stopped at a cute beach that had fun sea animals to see.. So, after a few days in San louis Obispo we packed up and headed to San Juan Bautista, this is where Kelly grew up so we were excited to get there and relax for a few days. On our way there we drove part of the way on the freeway where it follows the ocean and it goes through some very pretty wine country. We did stop for a short break at a cool little beach that wasnt't quite warm enough to swim in but it was great for climbing on rocks and jumping through the waves..in other words a great stop for the kids to get some of there energy out. While we were in San Louis Kelly's friend came down to meet us and took us to a farmers market down main street. Now if you've been to the farmers market here you would be either surprised of way excited to see the difference. It was so fun to see all the different foods they offered..especially the big cookies that Rachelle and I grabbed up. Love the cookies! They had bands playing and people dancing and tons of cute little stores to go in. Our favorite was the candy store..the kids loved it. The street of many things also had a nice guy who wanted to show off his Red tailed boa..we all know how much I love snakes so it was even greater that all the kids took turns holding it..even Kelly tried it..no pic of that one but it was very funny! The following day, after our long ride we decided it would be great to find a beach to chill at. Little did we know it was going to be so windy..the sand covered everything within minutes. But, never fear we had Tara who decided to boogyboard regardless. They had a great time and even Ab's took her first try at it and loved it.. Heading out..good luck everyone!

California here we come..my friend Kelly invited us along for a 6 day trip to her moms house in Monterey. We started out on a Wednesday destined to end in San Luis Obispo..a 14 hour drive to our destination..yep, thats right 14 hours..CRAZY! We made it to Reno where we had to stop for the famous IN-N-OUT for lunch. Good thing..the kids needed a break from the car along with the mom's. Yes, it has happened. My second child is moving on to middle school. Crazy! It is so amazing how fast time flys. Braeden is so excited to move on, it has been a great year for him. About a month ago my Grandma Vera passed away. We travelled to Utah to be with family for her funeral, it was sad to see my grandma go but we know she is happy. She will missed so much. She was such a cute grandma with such spunk, always surprising us with things she said or did. It was great to see my sis who flew in for the funeral along with Aunts, Uncles, and cousins that I never get to see and miss so much. My Grandma...Vera Larsen

So, for Mothers Day this year we headed south to enjoy some good old sunshine and of course get in on my mother in laws surprise birthday party.. Brandon and his siblings..I should say Jami( she did the most ) decided to surprise there mom for her 60th birthday by having everyone meet in St. George at Jami' s house along with some friends and family members . It was fun to see how surprised she was and definatly great to see the whole family together..doesn't happen very often. I think she loved it! Hunter and Braeden throwing a cousin into the pool..

Lets see..sometime in April I believe , we went down to blue lakes for an easter egg hunt. I have to say it is very fun watching my 11 and 13 year old run around looking for easter eggs. I went down to Utah to meet up with my family..parents, sisters, aunts, and cousins for my cousin Stephany's baby shower in April. It was so great to hang with so many family members that I don't get to see very often. This was back in April so yes she has had her baby..A little girl named Lyla..she is adorable. My sis Lyndee, me, cousins Bryanne and Stephanie..

Oh and we couldn't forget my kids getting to see there cousins from Indiana..they keep themselves pretty busy jumping off the wood fence onto the tramp...they had a great time with each other.

Aunt Audri,Me,My sis lyn, Steph, my mom, Bryanne and my grams..she just past away last week but it was so good to see her..love you all lots!

Spring Break in St. George..

For Spring Break this year we headed south to St. George. It was fun to go visit family and be in the warm weather. We took the fourwheelers and went out to a fun riding place for the kids. They had a blast, there were tons of trails and even some fun jumps for the boys with there motorcycles. We also swam quite a bit which was nice just to chill by a pool. A big Thanks to everyone that showed up for Ab's competition. She was so excited to see her Aunt Brit, Grams and Gramps Hansen and of course Grandma Hanks who hangs with us all the time. Once again they did awesome and got 1st place. They even were awarded the Cheer stick and a paid invitation to Nationals.. Brit, Me, Abbey and Brandon, Grandpa Hansen and Grandma Hanks!

A little while back we went to Salt Lake for another one of Abbey's cheer competition and were lucky enough to go with my inlaws to see Rascal Flatts and Jessica Simpson. I have to say a couple things about this concert first and formost Jessica Simpson is not heavy she is very skinny and dang cute..I do not know what they are talking about and second, Rascal Flatts does a great concert. They were awesome..Loved the show!

I have to say this picture is a little frightening. We went down to my mom's house for Abbey's third competition and were lucky enough to spend some time with my niece and nephew. I guess the newest craze down in Provo is to color your face with markers. Very funny! The next day was Abbey's competition, they did awesome! First place for all of them..Good job girls! Cruisin around...

In February we went on a cruise with a bunch of friends and family from work. I have never been on a cruise before so it was a new experience..I actually really liked it except for the room which was a tad bit closterphobic. We stopped at Catalina Island..which was a blast. It was the cutest town. Fun shopping and lots to go and see. We rented golf carts to see the scenic views...it did get a little dangerous with my hubby driving but neverless very entertaining! We then went to Ensanada Mexico where we rented Fourwheelers and headed out to play on the sand. After the day in Ensanada we had a fun day at sea..at least thats what we were told. Most of all it was fun to hang out with friends and family and eat to our little hearts content and of course see some really pretty new places. Cancun...ready to relax!

The beginning of January we left for Cancun...ready for a little fun and relaxation. The trip was first planned to be a business trip of sorts but at the last minute turned into a fun trip with our good friends the Pillings..they were nice enough to fill in for us at the last minute. We had a great time. It actually turned into a scuba diving trip for my husband and Kelly and Cory..So, for me I was able to sit and hang by the pool for a good part of the trip. We also drove into the main part of Cancun and met up with my inlaws and there friends and went out on a boat to snorkle and hang..it was awesome! We did spend most our nights in the little town next to our resort where there are great places to eat and lots of fun shopping..and of course the occasional fun picure taking with the natives..Hee-Hee! We were also lucky enough to go to Tulum..which are ancient ruins which were real fun to see.... The first night we were there..had to eat at Brandons favorite mexican joint!

So, for New Years Eve we decided to be good parents and spend it with our kids and yes some friends and family..even though we had a great opportunity to go party it up with our friends at a CSI party..yep a dancing party. It is hard to imagine Brandon wanting to dance but it sounded fun and we hadn't done it before..but since we were leaving our kids for 2..yes 2 weeks we decided it was a better idea to spend it with our kids. Holly my sister in law was having a few friends over so we headed over and partied at the other Hansen house hold. It was fun to just hang out and bring in the new year with our kids..Happy New Year everyone!

Well, I guess pictures say it all..this year we stayed home for Christmas which was great! Spend time with family and friends, be in our own home for Christmas and just enjoy the holidays, right? I'm not sure what happened but I really didn't get many pictures on Christmas day and the ones I did get looked like my kids weren't to happy. But, in all actuality we had a great Christmas..opened presents and then Brandon and the boys took off to ski and Ab and I relaxed at home. It was great! It also happened to be Brandon's 37th birthday so when they returned we had a quiet birthday party for him..Hope everyone had a great Christmas..Happy Birthday to my honey..you are getting old!

Braeden may kill me for this but I thought it was cool he actually did it. All year his music teacher in school has been teaching the kids how to play the recorder. It hasn't been his favorite thing to do but he has done it. So, when it came time for the Christmas recorder concert he said that he was NOT going. Needless to say his momma said oh ya you are..we have to see Braed play his recorder! He did a good job..along with his good friends Tanner..who was the cutest by far and Brandon his great bud he loves to hangout with. Great Job Braeden..you did great!

Every year our elementary school does a Christmas program with the 1st and 3rd graders. So, Ab turned into a dancing reindeer on the 15th of December. She did a great job and had so much fun singing, dancing and saying her part when the time came. It was fun to see the little first graders singing too..it brings back memories when my kids were in first grade..very funny!

Yep..they did it again..1st place! The middle of December we went down to Salt Lake for Abbey's second cheer competition. They did so good, this was a little different then the first one. A much bigger place and alot more people. It has been fun to experience the whole cheer world..especially when Ab loves it so much! A night at the Nutcracker!

Last weekend Abbey, Braeden and I drove down to Utah for one of Abbey's Cheer competitions. While we were there we were able to go see the Nutcracker at the Capital Theater..Thanks Mom..My mom was sweet enough to take all the girls in the family..my sis and her three girls, Ab and I and my mom. We had a great time! It's been along time since I've seen it and the first time for Abbey, I guess thats why 5 minutes into it she said "They aren't talking lets go home" She wasn't real thrilled that there was no talking..however once the princess's all came out and started twirling around she did decide she liked it. National Finals Rodeo...

So, a couple weekends ago we headed to Vegas for the NFR with some friends. It was alot of fun! We watched a couple of the Rodeo's, shopped like crazy on Saturday, then headed to Mama Mia on Saturday night. It was great to see it on the stage and even more fun because I was with the one and only number 1 fan of Mama Mia..go back to the Halloween blog to see what I mean. Tara loves Mama Mia to say the least, which is why it made it that much more fun! After the show we decided the men needed to take there ladys to dinner and dancing..I have to say it's been awhile since we've really danced..but it was very fun and really interesting..the things you see in Vegas should really stay in Vegas!! For Thanksgiving this year we headed south to Brandons parents house..We hadn't been there to visit for awhile so it was fun to see grams and gramps and of course aunts, uncles and our very cute cousins. We ate lots (to much), shopped, went to a movie and the kids favorite part got in the pool, Yep I think it was a wee cold but they couldn't resist. Thanks Grams and Gramps Hansen for a fun weekend! Yep it happened..I went to see Twilight, actually this was in November when it first came out..I am way behind as everyone can see. We had a great time..Loved the show and most of all the crowd..not really, the crowd was crazy. The best part was messing around with all of our fun friends and watching a show that we had been waiting for forever. The two main characters..um ya they are quite cute!

The crazy crowd..It actually felt like the day after Thanksgiving, trying to get into the stores..aah memories!

Abbey's first cheer competition!

Abbey had her first cheer competition in early November..They did great- First place..not bad! She has loved cheerleading..she started last May with practices twice a week, which have continued throughout the school year. What a fun sport to be apart of..we are so proud of her..Way to go Abbey! Performing..This is there pyramid..Awesome!

A couple weekends ago's we drove up to SunValley to see the Warren Miller ski show. Everyone loves to ski..some more than others,..We met some of our friends up there..played around, watched the movie and then went to eat at the one and only Desperado's..It was a fun weekend! It's taken me awhile but it is time to finish up all the Halloween blogs..On Halloween night we started out with a great taco dinner at Brandon's Aunt Colleens .YUM, to say the least. She is great and it was fun to see her and some family members. We then headed over to the trunk or treat which was fun and fast..Whoo! After that we decided to head home for the trick or treaters and let our kids enjoy the night. My parents were in town to visit so a big thanks for hanging with us and dealing with all the running around. We love Halloween but we are glad it's over. Hunt, Jacob and Marshall..wonder what they are up to??

Yes that would be my husband..even though he's been on a big diet he has gained a few..that is with the help of towels and balloons! He told his employees to dress up on Halloween and so he decided to do it himself. Pretty impressive..not very cute or attractive for a women but it guaranteed a few laughs. I think that was the ultimate goal. Ab thought it was a fun idea and decided to try it out..Nice..lets hope she really doesn't turn out like this! Hee'Hee!

For a class project Braeden and his good buddy Brandon made an A and W bomb..they really put some work into it, it actually had a little man strapped to it to see if it could hold on. Yep that is right..I actually took a sewing class. Who knew I could actually pull my brand new sewing machine out of the box that I have had for 3 years now and use it. I owe it all to my friend Jana..she came up with the idea and so I hopped on board for a 4 week class..It turned out to be lots of fun and not as scary as I thought it would be to actually thread my own machine. The class taught us how to make aprons and just your basic how to's..which I needed. It was fun to learn and great to really make something. Jana, our teacher Marianne and Me

Yep, we did it again! On the 25th we decided to run another race. This one was on the CSI campus and ended up being 3plus miles, and yes we ran the whole way without stopping. You may laugh at that but it really is an accompishment for me to run that long without passing out. It was a fun race and very pretty too! I ran with Rachelle, Christi and Christy. Thanks girls for a fun morning and for being such great running partners..You are all so much fun!

On September 25th it was my nephew Tuckers angel day..it has been 1 year since he passed away. We miss him so much and wish he could be here with us, but we also know how happy he must be to be running around and doing what he wants, when he wants. Tucker was our happy little guy who always had a smile, no matter what. He is our little hero and will always be missed and remembered!

Rim to Rim..

On September 13 I ran the Rim to Rim with three other friends. I have to say I have never been a good runner...I usually feel like I am going to pass out, But with a little training and help from friends we made it through it and it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be. This picture is at the end of the race, notice I am not even on the ground- good thing! Kelly and Christee did the walking part of it and Rachelle and I did the running. I have to say a big THANKS to Rachelle..I honestly wouldn't have made it through the first part without her..You are the best and thanks so much!

A couple weekends ago we went with some friends up to a Boise state game..the boys all love football so they were very excited! Abbey was more interested in the cheerleaders and finding Hallie than watching the game so we were all entertained. We then headed the next day to Sun Valley to the annual car show. It is so pretty there..the cars are great but Sun Valley is just a nice relaxing town that I love to visit. Getting started..what a fun game!

About a month ago it came time for the kids to go back to school..I think they were ready. After 3 months of playing and working for dad, they decided it was time to head back to good old school. Hunter finally made it to junior high..YEAH! I have to say he has really enjoyed it along with mom..it's great to check grades everyday on the computer- what an invention! Braeden is in his last year in elementary and so excited to be the big boys of the school. Abbey is in 3rd and enjoying herself more than ever...I think school consists of friends, friends and oh ya friends..you actually have to do work in school? who knew?? Ok so...a while back the boys(my boys) went to work..I dropped them off and told them I would be back in a few hours to get them..well, while I was gone Brandon went and snagged them and met up with his brother Brian and his son Creighton ..they had decided to take some pics-funny ones at that..who knows what they think?They put them on the paver to take some photos of the future G.P. paving crew..if you can't see it, Hunt and Creighton have cigarettes in there hands..a true paving crew!

Braeden received his arrow of light last month. We are so proud of him! This means he accomplished the requirements to move up to the 11 year old scouts. He had to do many different things like going on a 3mile hike with his troop and some other things. Braeden and his good friend Brandon Pilling were able to do it together..which made it that much more fun! Congrats, little Brave Braeden.. Giving the oath and motto to his scout leader..

Youth cultural celebration...

Yes..I am totally trying to catch up! I am behind so here is another blog that is way in the past..probably 2 weeks ago. Bad I know..anyways Hunter was able to be apart of the Youth Cultural celebration for the temple. What a great experience for him. They started practicing 5 months ago and ended a couple weeks ago with the program for the prophet. He wasn't real thrilled about all the practices but it all came together and ended up being such a good experience for him...he loved it and loved being able to listen to the prophet! The morning of..getting ready to head to the fair grounds..

Last month we had a special treat when our friends the Hickman's came to town to visit for the weekend. Abbey had done a good job staying in touch with Gracie so she was thrilled to have Gracie come and spend the night with her. At the beginning of August Abbey was able to be baptized..It was a fun weekend- we had both sides of the family come to support Abbey. She was so excited..how many more months, days and hours did it take to get to that day..she was always asking! We started the day with going through the Twin Falls temple openhouse. What a beautiful temple- we are so excited that we have one so close. We then did a little play time down at bass lake..some golfed, others played in the water. The time then came for us to get ready to go to the church for the special event.. My sisters kids and mine..taken outside the temple!

Abbey turned the big 8 years old in July...wow time sure does fly doesn't it? She first started off by saying she wanted a eskimo party..go figure in July and how do you do an eskimo party in the first place?? She changed her mind and decided to go rollerskating at the true and trusted Skateland..it's been here since Brandon was a wee tiny one..anyways as it turns out it still can be a very entertaining birthday. We started out with a barbecue at our house and then rollerskating to Taylor Swift plus a few others..then to finish it off cake and presents back at our house. On Abbey's birthday(in July) she really wanted to ride a horse..So, we asked our good friends the Dille's if we could borrow a horse for a short ride. She had so much fun..she has always loved horses and has never been able to ride one. It was perfect and such a fun day. Thanks Rachelle and Jackson for helping us out.. You guys are the best! Last month (this tells you how behind I am) Abbey went with my friend and neighbor Tedi and her daughters(abs friend) on the 15th wards fun run..They did awesome! I was so proud of them. Last week we went with our friends the Thompsons down to the falls to waterski. We had a great time, the boys and Tanner wakeboarded, hung on the boom trying to barefoot ski, and road the tube. Abbey rode the tube and tried the boom and Hallie did both of those and even tried skiing. And of course Tedi showed us her wonderful skills of skiing..she is great! Thanks Thompsons for a fun night! Near the end of our Bear Lake trip my other sis Lisa came to hang out with us..we were excited to see her and to be able to hang out with her and her kids. We pretty much stayed at the beach and relaxed. It doesn't happen real often for all the cousins to be together...Utah, Idaho and Indiana makes it a tough task to pull us all together but it is always great when we do. Fourwheeling in Bear Lake...

So, our story continues in Bear Lake. Later in the week we decided to go on a 4wheeling ride. It was so beautiful- the mountains, trees and flowers were breathtaking. I think we sometimes take for granted the nature that surrounds us or maybe we just forget about it. It was nice to take a ride and enjoy the scenery. We stopped for pictures in a great little field of flowers and took tons of pictures. Brandon and I..remember it was really dusty and dirty so we don't look real great!

We made it to Old Ephraims Grave.. a big bear that they hunted for quite a while and finally captured it and killed it. It is a memorial for the big bear.

We went to Bear lake for the 4th, well actually for a couple of weeks... my sister Lyndee and her family travelled from Indiana to Bear Lake to spend some time with the family, so we packed up and headed to Utah for a little family time. For the 4th we spent some good beach time and then after a barbecue back at the cabin we went back to the beach for fireworks..love the beach even at Bear Lake! Braeden wanted to take some friends to Natsoopaw for his birthday so we piled on into the car and headed down. On June 17th my little guy turned the big 11..can you believe it? I also can't believe its taken me this long to blog it. It's been very busy lately, to say the least. So, to celebrate we went down to Bass Lake to hang out for the day with some friends and then in the evening we had a barbecue. His birthday continued into the next week which I will blog later ... we had to wait for some friends to come back into town for the friend party. Last Saturday Abbey and I left to run some errands. When we got back the boys were holding some cute little rabbits- so I told the boys to return the rabbits to our neighbors..since they own some..there reply was"there ours not the Thompsons" Ok..if anyone knows my husband he has a tendency to come home with pets at any time without notifying the wife..which is me. Needless to say..we now have 3 new pets ..they are really cute-they don't bark or shed like a cat, they don't die within a day and then get flushed down the toilet...I think we may have come apon a pet that might actually work..unless they start to multiply..that could get bad! Tanner, Hunter, Braeden, Hallie and Abbey...all the bunnies in the neighborhood!
Abbey an Lexi..we are sorry to say that is the first- a couple hours later it came up missing and we had to go buy another one..I know, I know how dumb are we?

Braeden has had a little friend connected to his eye for the past two months. We haven't been able to get rid of it..even after 3 different doctors. So, finally the last doctor which was the eye doctor...said it is time to get rid of it..I am glad someone has a brain..whatever! Anyways, last week we went in and they did a wonderful procedure where they scrape it off..OUCH! I didn't go in- ya all know how I am.. I would have been on the ground-past out! So, we are now on the mend. I hope this will finally be the end of the sty. If any of you have any ideas on how to steer clear or even get rid of one a little easier..feel free to comment.

Well yes I am quite late on posting for Fathers Day...but I am doing it now, right? I couldn't forget to honor my two most favorite men on fathers day..first of course is my dad. He is so sweet even if he is losing all his hair..jk. He has always been a wonderful dad..loving, kind, understanding, honest, I can always depend on him and love him so much.( I couldn't find a picture without Zoey..) The time finally arrived for Abbey's year end dance recital...she did so good. Her favorite part about taking dance is performing..go figure! She loves dressing up, getting the hair done and of course makeup and lots of sparkles. It was a great show..lucky for us since we sat through both shows for the day. Both grandparents came to watch..one set had to sit with us for 4 hours of dancing..thank you so much mom and dad for hangin in there with us..you are good little troopers, and even our cousin Paige that we don't get to see very much came to visit- the kids loved that. Motorcycles...finally

The other day Brandon took the boys over to his shop and let them ride there motorcycles...needless to say they were ecstatic! Since Christmas they have complained non stop that they haven't been able to ride them. Except for in the lot next to our house...I don't know how legal that is but anyways, they had a great time and tore up the whole lot making jumps and actually jumping them. They took bones and as you can tell he was having a little heat stroke along with getting totally dusted..one day I'm sure they will be professional freestyle motorcyclers..watch out Travis Pastrana! Hunter...way to go!

Last Day Of School 2008!

Last Friday was the last day of school for the year. The kids are really excited. The beginning of another 3 month summer. It still seems odd to me that it lasts that long. But, I am liking the idea better each year..kids grow up way to fast and it's nice to have some time to spend with them. Anyways...Abbey finished 2nd grade and was thrilled along with all of her friends(anything for a picture)..Braeden was happy to be done with 5th and moving up to be a big 6th grader next year and last but not least our little Hunter graduated from 6th grade...thrilled to be done with Grade school and to be turning into a junior higher...what a big boy..we are really proud of him-he celebrated by golfing with one of his good buddies Jake. Hope everyone has an awesome summer! Ab and her friends..to many to name but they are all cute and crazy girls.

On Sunday we drove over to Bancroft where my Moms Dad and Brother are buried. It was great to take flowers and remember the ones that aren't with us anymore. Since we were in Idaho we didn't get to go to Tuckers grave but we had him in our hearts all day..actually everyday. Thanks again Mom and Dad for a great weekend!

For Memorial Day this year we went to My Parents cabin in Bear Lake. It was very relaxing. On Saturday we played. The girls day consisted of playing at the beach, shopping, eating and riding little carts down the path to down town bearlake. It was great. The boys day was pretty much 4wheeling and motorcycling..what more could they ask? Abbey brought her good friend Hallie- they have alot of fun together. Well, it's the end of another year of bowling. I have to say that I just love it. Every Monday we would get together to bowl. My buddy in crime is my good friend Lisa...along with a bunch of other fun friends..it's a great way to stay in touch with everybody. I wish I could say I won a wonderful award for my great skill of bowling but it didn't happen..to be honest it's more of a social thing for me. Next year we will win Lis-I promise! Last week was our school carnival..Rides, games and face painting. Anyways, we came out with two cats( I think ). Here are some pictures from the infamous Moab trip. (These are all before Brandon got hurt).Hunter, Braeden and Brandon all went with some friends to Moab a couple of weeks ago. They had a great time...they rented a jeep and went on some really cool trails and then went on there fourwheelers the other days. It looks to me like it was a great idea I wasn't there..a little dangerous! Brandon took the boys skiing up to Snowbasin in Utah. They had so much fun! It was a true boys day out...they jumped and totally went out of bounds which is a no-no with the mom(me) and were even fortunate enough to see and meet Earl Holding..don't know who he is but Brandon said he is the owner of Snowbasin and Sun Valley and other things..the boys were excited so- I guess thats all that matters..

Abbey had her end of the year Tavaci program last Monday night..she did so good and had so much fun. This year she had a speaking part with a little friend from class. She did awesome! It is always fun to see what your kids actually learn from there extra activities during the week..when it comes down to the end of the year and you see that they have had fun and learned so much.

Well, it has come to the end of another dance year. It has been a good one. Abbey took Pre team and hip hop. I think that the hip hop was her favorite..I wonder why? Anyways, we had dance pictures last week and her and her friend Izzy were being so funny I decided to take a few of them being silly. The dance performance will be in a few weeks so I will let you all know how it goes..It's starting to finally feel a little like summer..I am so excited! Oh and yes if anyone is wondering that is a fake hair piece...last minute hair do!

Well, we should start out by saying that this last week started out pretty good..Brandon and the boys heading down to Moab with some friends for a fun weekend. They had so much fun that I really didn't get to talk to them much at all- that is until I got a phone call from Braeden saying that they wouldn't make it home for dinner because dad was in the hospital..so-what am I suppose to think ,when for 14 years I have put up with so much teasing that my mind has been tainted a little bit. I totally thought they were joking so I said "whatever, have dad call me when you are on the road". Well, needless to say about an hour later I had another phone call from a friend of Brandons saying ..um, you should probably believe your boys..I felt pretty bad. I guess to make a long story short Brandon's 4wheeler fell on top of him and knocked him out and cut his face up pretty bad. I have to say that I am so thankful that he wasn't hurt anymore than that. Life can change so quickly, I guess we all need little wake up calls once in a while so we can try to be a little safer. Sorry for the long blog..I also want to say thanks so much for all the calls from good friends and family looking out for us and helping out.. what would we do without so many good friends? We appreciate everything! Thanks a bunch....

Ok, so seriously..what is up with the weather? It gets hot..it gets miserably cold. Today it starts hailing like crazy..so strange! Personally I am so ready for warm weather. Anyways...the kids had such a great time making snow cones and playing in the 5 minute hailstorm that I decided to take pics. For the past 4 days Abbey has been trying out for Planet Cheer. The first three days they went and learned the cheer and dance..it took a little while but she got it, Then yesterday she went and tried out for a couple hours- they had to do a few jumps and then the cheer and dance- it was a closed tryout so I didn't get to see-I would have loved to but I guess not. Anyways around 4 we made our way over to find out and sure enough she had made it. She has wanted to do cheerleading for a while so we finally decided to let her try. Whale watching... The first week in April we went with Brandons brother and wife Holly and his mom and dad to Maui for a little R & R. We got just that.. Most of the time we layed out by the pool or beach. One day we went on a boat ride and saw a bunch of whales and did a little snorkling. I have to say that it was just so much fun to relax and spend some time with my hubby and the family.

Our Last night in Kaui was great. We went to dinner at some sushi joint ( I had chicken) and while we were eating this cute Hawaiian girl came by selling leis.. so, our sweet little husbands bought us each one. They smelled so good- I wish it would have made it home. The sunset pic was taken from our deck- it was such a pretty night and you can see a cruise ship in the back..very cool!

Boat ride around the Napali Coast

On Thursday we took a Catamaran around the Napali Coast. I didn't realize you could get that many views of the Napali Coast but we did. Along the way we saw a baby whale and lots of dolphins and then near the end they let us snorkle and Scuba dive.
These would be the dolphins- there were so many that surrounded the boat.
I guess this was in the movie Jurassic Park..I thought it was interesting.

Brandon, Murry, Tara and Lloyd went scuba diving. They didn't see much but they had fun. Kelly and Cory decided to snorkle and as for me and Zanna- we decided to take it easy on the boat..actually Zanna had a sprained ankle from the hike and I decided to keep her company- that is when I heard that there had been sharks in the area..I know I am the biggest boob but at least I was safe...right?

On Tuesday we decided to go on a hike up the Napali Coast to see a waterfall. Brandon had decided he would be better off staying on the beach because of his leg injury.. So, I went anyways and I am so glad I did. It was so cool. Coming from Idaho just 4 days before to this really green island..it was so pretty, actually unbelievable.

This is Tara and Lloyd in the water at the waterfall. It was really cold so they weren't in long but they did it..I just watched and decided not to freeze my fanny off. I am so proud of them...Hee- hee!

Surf lessons...

Ok..so on Monday we decided to have surf lessons..I would have never thought I would do it ( you all know I have this fear of sharks..dumb I know- I grew up on watching Jaws) anyways it was very fun and I didn't even see a shark! I wish I had pics of us actually surfing but it didn't happen since we were all in the water. Oh ya..On Sunday we flew over to Khaui for the rest of the week.. This was in Khaui at the house we had rented.
Getting the lesson...The guy on the surf board was our instructor..cool guy. I think all the info made me more nervous than actually doing it.

Welcome to our Hawaiian trip!

On February 29th Brandon and I left with three other couples to Hawaii for a little rest and relaxation. We started our trip out in Oahu for a couple days at Turtle Bay. Tara bought all the girls these cute hats for a gift so we decided to take some pics in them obviously as you can see the men felt left out so we took a picture of them in them also. Aren't they the cutest??

On Sunday it was my nephew Tuckers birthday..he turned 7. We sure miss you Tuck and think of you all the time. Lisa and Charlie were here in Twin- we decided to take balloons down to the falls and let them go..I'm sure he got them. Tuck loved balloons and the Happy Birthday song so we sang Happy Birthday as we watched the balloons going up. I think it was perfect. The falls are beautiful and it is really peaceful down there.

Snow Night!!

Ok...So, Last week there was a day it snowed all day long-unbelievable! I haven't seen it snow this much in one winter the whole time I've lived here but anyways my kids didn't figure out how much fun they could have untill about 7pm..a little late if you ask me. They dragged the 4wheelers out and sleds and decided to give rides to each other and Haley(our next door neighbor and Ab's friend). They had a great time and it was fun to watch... I guess it's always good to get some snow even if I am already ready for Summer!
